Random black screen or black boxes on the screen

#1 Not sure if this is a computer issue or not. Sometimes when I watch a video online a black-checkerboard or random black squares pop-up on the video screen. They come and go all through the video playback. It happens on Facebook and a lot of other sites. All of my drivers have been recently updated. Anyone else noticed this? Manufacturer/Model Acer/Aspire 7730 Laptop CPU Intel Core2 Duo T6400 @ 2.00GHz Memory 4.00 GB RAM Internet Speed Comcast High-Speed Internet #2 Hi see3,The issue could be related to Flash Player or video drivers. To isolate the issue please provide the following information:1. From how many days are you facing this issue?2. Does it happen only in one browser (i.e., in Internet Explorer) or even in other browser?3. Also, have you checked if the issue occurs while playing a video files stored on the Hard Drive (i.e., sample videos or movies)? For any clarifications feel free to contact me. Hi Madhur B, thanks for your reply. 1. This has always been an issue. I've had this laptop with Vista for around 3 years. Before that I had another laptop with XP for about 4 years. The same black-squares issue for both.2. I use Internet Explorer only and don't know if any other browsers have this issue.3. Yes, it happens if I download a video and then watch it, but the squares are sometimes green instead of black. (They are either green or black. Not both colors in the same video.) Before I wrote this reply, I watched the video that started this topic, and the black squares were still there... however ...when I clicked the HD button at the bottom of the Facebook video screen the black squares vanished. Not sure if I turned the HD on or off but the video was much more enjoyable without the black checkering. So, I guess, this may be the cause? Or at least the solution to my issue? It would be advisable to watch the video in 480p or in HD quality to ensure that it would not pixelate. For example, if you are watching a video on YouTube you there is a random black box on the left of my screen that wont go away black box on the left I released final version of this mission today. In this final version is many features. You can play this in Sinleplayer/Multiplayer mode. In this version is included random spawn location of players, random location of weapon boxes, vehicles, npc bandits and civilians. When you die you will be spawned with your equip which you have when you die. On second screen you can see random weather and fog.You can download this here. Find weapons, vehicles and friends. Data import and export will be discussed in Part 3: Data laboratory. For now we generate some random network data.Press "File", "Generate", "Random Graph". By default, a network with 50 nodes in which a fraction of 0.05 of the edges are present, is generated after pressing "OK".The nodes are initially randomly placed, and links will be directed (notice the arrows).Basic statistics are presented on the top right, in the "Context" subwindow.First things first: similar to working in a text document, you may want to regularly save your work, and perhaps store intermediate versions under a different name as you progress.Save your project as a .gephi file.Go to "File", "Save" and choose a suitable filename and location.Task 2.1: Generate a random graph according to parameters of your choice, and save the network to a file.Close Gephi and load the saved network file again.Part 2.2: Visualizing the networkNow that you have loaded network data, it's time to make the visualization look nice, rather than random. On top of the bottom left "Layout" pane, select "ForceAtlas 2" from the dropdown menu, and press "Run".Once the visualization has converged, press "Stop". You should see a visualization similar to the figure below.Figure: Visualization of a random directed graph with 50 nodesYou can play around with parameters such as "Scaling" to disperse the nodes more.Should you have multiple smaller components, then setting a higher "Gravity" parameter can prevent these components from "drifting away" from the giant component.Notice that this entire layout process changes nothing more than the (x,y) position of the nodes.By choosing "Random Layout" as the visualization algorithm, nodes can be put back at a random position. Finally, note that you can zoom in on the visualization itself using your mouse's scroll wheel (or laptop touchpad equivalent thereof).Task 2.2: Play around with some different visualization algorithms and their parameters.Extra: generate larger graphs and observe how algorithm complexity of for example the Fruchterman-Reingold algorithm starts to play its parts.Part 2.3: Node and edge size and colorWhen the layout is satisfactory, we can start to spice up the visualization and move away from black-and-white dots and lines.Using the top left box "Appearance", almost everything about the visualization can be changed; the box looks small but offers a lot of possibilities.Corresponding to the four red boxes in the figure below, it is possible to change:A: What we are changing properties of, with the options being the nodes or the edges (2 options).B: What visual property we are changing, the options (in order) being: color, size, label color and label size (4 options); we discuss labels in Part 2.4: Labels.C: How the change should be made (3 options):Unique: every node/edge gets the same visual property value.Partition: we set the visual property value based on some attribute of the node for which several categorical attribute values can exist.Ranking: we set the visual property value proportional to some numeric (possibly continuous) attribute of the node.D: How we actually set the value (screen may change depending on choices made for A, B and C).It is
